Internships
Learn by Doing, Contribute to Conservation
Blue Heron Headwaters Conservancy (BHHC) offers unpaid internship opportunities for college students interested in gaining hands-on experience in conservation, land stewardship, and nonprofit work.
We work with each intern to shape a project that reflects their skills, interests, and academic goals. In exchange for your time and contributions, we aim to provide meaningful, real-world experience that supports your growth and learning.

Areas of Experience
Interns may have the opportunity to engage in a range of projects, including:
-
Project planning
-
Land restoration and habitat work
-
Climate change-related initiatives
-
Wildlife preservation
-
Communications, including storytelling through blogging and reel creation.
-
Event planning and community outreach
-
Nonprofit administration
-
Photography and visual documentation
-
Legal Document Preparation
What to Expect
Internships are flexible and collaborative. You will work alongside BHHC staff and, when appropriate, volunteers and community partners. Projects may include both field-based and office-based work depending on your interests and the season.
